Supetarska Draga lies on the two sides of the bay found on the western tip of the fertile valley on Island Rab's western part. The area with once separated groups of houses on the northern coast of the bay has been built up by now and is known as the Gornja Draga part of the settlement. The opposing southern side is called Donja Draga. The resort area Gonar belongs to the settlement, too.
Supetarska Draga is one of the older settlements on Island Rab, its name comes from the valley (draga) of the medieval Benedictine monastery dedicated to St. Peter (Supetar) - the name thus can be translated as St. Peter's Valley. The ancient shipwreck and amphorae find at nearby Cape Sorinj indicate the importance of the area in even more distant historical times.

Local tourism is based mainly on sailing and diving. Gornja Draga is the location of Island Rab's second marina, the fully equipped ACI Marina, there are several rent-a-boat outlets and boat workshops, one can enjoy see-kayaking trips and dives around the bay.

The best area for bathing and swimming is the western tip of Donja Draga (Dumići) and the three islets facing it (Šajlovac, Sridnjak, Maman). One can find small, intimate, partly sandy and partly naturist beaches on the islets.
Accommodation is available in apartment buildings. Restaurants and grocery stores are found both in Gornja and Donja Draga, and restarurants in Gonar, too. For more details please check out our map and
